Bookstore has a large selection of crucifixes and religious pictures.

The Corpus Christi Cathedral Bookstore is featuring many new devotional and religious items appropriate for all seasons.  There have a large selection of Catholic books and CDs for instruction, prayer, or meditation written by some of the best authors in the world.  

Tucked in a corner of the Cathedral parking lot, the bookstore sells a surprisingly large number of Catholic religious and devotional items.

“I you are looking for a special Christmas gift that really reflects what this holy season is all about?  Or maybe you might like a book, a saint’s statue, rosary, crucifix, picture or other religion item suitable for any time of the year. The Cathedral Bookstore may be just what you are looking for,” bookstore manager Esther Torres said. 

Since the Catholic Shoppe in Corpus Christi closed, many people do not know where they can purchase these items, Torres said. The Cathedral Bookstore has increased its inventory of statues and other religious items, books and devotional in hopes of meeting the need created by the store’s closing.

“If we don’t have it, I can order it,” she said.   

The shop is located in a corner of the Cathedral parking lot, next door to the rectory.  Hours are from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays and 10:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday.  For additional information, call the Cathedral parish office at (361) 883-4213.
