Oktoberfest at St. Anthony's Church in Violet will be on Oct. 15. The festivities begin at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony in Violet (3918 County Rd.–off Highway 44). There will be chicken barbecue dinner with trimmings for a donation of $9 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (dine in or plates to go). There will also be children's games, Country Store, White Elephant Booth, live auction at 1 p.m., drawing for gift certificate, vintage farm machinery and visit our historic Church Museum built in 1910.  All proceeds will be used for church repairs.
