Oktoberfest at St. Anthony's Church in Violet (3918 County Rd.–off Highway 44) will be on Oct. 21 with festivities beginning at 11 a.m. There will be chicken barbecue dinner with trimmings for a donation of $9 per plate from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (dine in or plates to go). There will also be a country store, children's games, white elephant booth, clown face painting, moonwalk, live auction at 1 p.m. and a drawing for a gift certificate.
