Pre-K3 through sixth-grade students at St. Pius X School reenact the "Liturgy of Light" as part of their religious education in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd class on April 6. All the children were divided into groups at three separate times of the day to comply with social distancing rules.
St. Patrick School sixth-graders helped revive and beautify the school’s Prayer Garden as part of their service project for March. The prayer garden is an outdoor classroom for prayer, science, art and students to enjoy.

Not since the beginning of the 2019 pandemic has the Corpus Christi Cathedral been so full of life. Even though attendance was limited, every other pew was filled with faithful Catholics who joined their bishop and priests at the annual Chrism Mass on March 27.
“God is never finished with our lives. God never finishes speaking. Sometimes very powerful; sometimes very subtle and in the most unexpected ways,” Bishop Michael Mulvey said in his homily on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord and the 11th Anniversary of his episcopal ordination and installation as the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi. He drew parallels between Mary’s “yes,” and moments in our own lives when we have experienced an annunciation or sign from God.
Incarnate Word Academy Class of 2021 seniors Ryan Busker and Charles Flood created a unique work of art as a part of the Jeanne de Matel graduating project. Ryan and Charlie painted the basketball court at the Elementary Level playground with a blue sky, clouds, and an angel basketball.

On that same day, Pope Francis will inaugurate the Year “Amoris Laetitia Family,” which will conclude at the World Meeting of Families in Rome on June 26, 2022.
Four finalists were selected from St. Pius X Elementary School to participate in the 2nd Annual Christ is Alive National Essay Contest sponsored by Communication Center (com.center.com), distributor of Catholic religious education curriculum. The theme of the contest originated from Pope Francis’s post-synodal apostolic exhortation Christus Vivit, “Christ is alive, and he wants you to be alive! He is in you; He is with you and he never abandons you.”

On March 6, thirty-three high school teens attended a day-retreat hosted by Corpus Christi’s Holy Family Parish Youth Group, CONNECT. CONNECT is an integral part of the program of preparation before the teens receive the sacrament of confirmation. It is an experience, a life style, that aims at building up the “Three Connections:” the connection with God, which is strengthened and completed by the connection with our neighbors, and that eventually leads to a greater connection with ourselves – with our most authentic identity.
